The Club Calendar lets you plan, schedule, and track all your club's events in a visual weekly timeline. Events appear as color-coded blocks on a time grid, making it easy to see what's happening at a glance and avoid scheduling conflicts.

Access the calendar by clicking the Calendar link in the main navigation bar. The calendar URL is: https://archery-records.net/clubs/calendar

Moving Around the Calendar

Today — Click to return instantly to the current week
<< and >> arrow buttons — Step backward or forward one week at a time
Week Commencing label — Shows the start date of the week you're viewing (e.g., "Week Commencing: 11 May 2026")
Go To Date — Type or pick a date using the calendar icon, then click Go To Date to jump directly to that week

Understanding the Weekly Grid

The calendar displays a full seven-day week from Monday through Sunday. Each column represents one day, with the date shown at the top. Rows represent hours of the day, running from midnight through to the end of the day. Scroll vertically to view all hours.

Events appear as colored blocks positioned in the appropriate day column and time rows. Each block displays the event name and time range (e.g., "Practice — 18:00–20:00"). Click any event block to open its details and make changes.

Creating a New Event

Click the Add New Event button in the top right of the toolbar
Fill in the event form with the following information:
- Event — The event name or title
- Start Date & Start Time — When the event begins (use the calendar icons to pick dates easily)
- End Date & End Time — When the event finishes
- Description — Any additional notes or details
- Location — Where the event takes place
- Recurring — Set the event to repeat Daily, Weekly, or Monthly if it's a regular session
- Number of Times — How many times the event should repeat (appears when you select a recurrence pattern)
- Private — Check this box if the event should not be visible to general members
- Colour — Choose a color (Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Lime, or Yellow) to help distinguish this event type visually
Click Add Event to save. The event will appear on the calendar grid
Click Close to cancel without saving

Editing or Removing an Event

Click the event block in the calendar grid to open the Edit Event panel
Make your changes to any field (event name, times, description, location, privacy setting, or color)
Choose one of the following actions:
- Update Event — Save your changes
- View Attendance — Open the attendance page to see which members registered or attended
- Delete — Permanently remove the event from the calendar
- Close — Exit without saving any changes
