Creating a Website Data Feed

This page shows you how to create a live data feed that you can embed on your own website. You'll select a data source (such as awards, score records, or handicaps), choose which fields to display, set the sort order, and generate a unique link in XML or HTML format.

The page has two tabs: Data (where you build your feed) and Help (which summarizes the available options).

Step 1: Select a Data Source

Under the Select Data Source heading, click the Select button next to the type of data you want in your feed.

Available data sources:

Awards — records of archery achievements achieved by members
Score Records — individual score records
Club Records — records held at club level
Handicaps — current handicap values for members
Classifications — classification achievements for members

Once you click Select, the chosen source will be highlighted in green and the relevant data fields will appear in the Select Data to Display section below.

Step 2: Select Data to Display

After choosing a data source, a table appears showing all available data fields for that source. Each field has:

A checkbox to include or exclude it from the feed
A Display Order number that controls the column order in the output

The fields available depend on your chosen data source:

Awards: Archer, Award, Round, Class, Age Group, Date
Score Records: Archer, Round, Class, Age Group, Score, Hits, Golds, Xs, Classification, Handicap, Date, Location
Club Records: Archer, Round, Class, Age Group, Score, Hits, Golds, Xs, Date, Location, Status
Handicaps: Archer, Class, Handicap, Achieved, Type
Classifications: Archer, Class, Age Group, Classification, Achieved, Type

By default, all fields are selected. Uncheck any field you do not want to include. To rearrange the columns, change the Display Order numbers — lower numbers appear first.

Step 3: Set the Sort Order

On the right-hand side of the page, the Sort Order panel controls how the feed data is sorted. You can apply up to five levels of sorting (Sort First through Sort Fifth) for precise control over data order.

For each sort level, use two dropdowns:

Field — choose which data field to sort by. Available options include Archer, Classification, Achieved, Class, Category, Type, and Updated (depending on the selected data source)
Direction — choose A–Z (ascending) or Z–A (descending)

You do not need to use all five sort levels. Leave any unused levels blank.

Step 4: Generate the Link

Once you have configured your data source, fields, and sort order, click the green Create Link button. Two feed links will be generated:

In XML Format — a machine-readable data feed. Use this if you have technical knowledge and want maximum flexibility to transform or process the data using an XSLT stylesheet or an XML reader
In HTML Table Format — a ready-to-display, responsive HTML table. This is the simplest option and requires minimal technical knowledge. The easiest way to embed it in your website is using an iframe

Use the Copy Link button next to each format to copy the URL to your clipboard.

Important Notes

Feeds cannot be edited. Once a feed link is created, it is fixed. If you need to change the data shown — for example to add or remove a field — you will need to create a new feed from scratch.

Record limit. Each feed returns a maximum of 2,000 records.

Acceptable use. Feeds that place excessive demand on system resources may be removed without notice.
