This page explains how to rename an age group and consolidate all associated scores, records, and classifications under the new name. You might use this when standardizing terminology (for example, changing "Women" to "Female") across your system.

Steps to Change and Merge Age Groups

Navigate to the Age Groups page.
Locate the age group you want to rename (for example, "Women") and click the Edit button.
Change the name to your preferred term (for example, "Female") and save your changes.

At this point, you will have two age groups with the same name in your system. They remain separate entries even though they share identical names.

Merge the Duplicate Age Groups

Go to the top of the page and click the Manage Data drop-down menu.
Select Merge Duplicates from the menu.
The system will combine all scores, club records, and classifications from both age groups into a single entry.

Verify the Merged Age Group

After merging, check the consolidated age group to ensure:

The age limit is correct
The age group is set to active status

Edit the merged age group if needed to make any necessary adjustments.
