Updates to Golden Records
New Settings
Here's something that a few clubs have been asking for — and we're delighted it's now live!
We've added a brand new setting that gives you control over whether your club records officers are able to approve their own scores. It's a small change, but it can make a big difference to how your club manages score integrity.
How does it work?
By default, records officers can approve their own scores — so if you're happy with the current arrangement, you don't need to do a thing. But if your club would prefer a bit more separation of duties (and many do!), you can now switch this off.
Once you do, any scores that a records officer adds or edits that are their own will remain in the queue as pending approval — meaning someone else will need to give them the green light. It's a great way to add an extra layer of accountability and keep everything above board.
Only club administrators can change this setting, so it's safely tucked away from sneaky records officers. It can be found at https://archery-records.net/clubs/settings as "Officers Can Approve Their Own Scores"
Smarter Multiple Score Entry
If you regularly use the multiple score entry page, you're going to love this one. We've made things considerably smoother!
Previously, when entering scores for a member, you'd have to manually select their bow class and age group every time. Now, as soon as you pick a member from the list, those fields automatically fill in for you. Magic!
That means fewer clicks, fewer chances of accidentally entering the wrong age group, and a much faster experience overall — which is exactly what you need on a busy club night when there's a queue of archers waiting to get their scores logged.
New Club Onboarding Wizard
Getting a brand new club set up on the system just got a whole lot easier. When a new club signs up, they'll now be walked through a handy onboarding wizard that guides them through all the key settings and options from the very start.
No more hunting around menus trying to figure out what needs configuring — the wizard takes care of it all in one smooth process. A much better first impression for new clubs joining the platform!
Achievements Now Visible from the Members List
Want to quickly check what a member has achieved? You can now view member achievements directly from the members list inside the Records Manager — no need to dig into individual profiles. It's a handy little shortcut that saves you a few extra clicks.
Improved Scoresheet Rendering
We've been doing some work under the bonnet on scoresheets, and things are looking much better. Rendering has been noticeably improved, so your scoresheets, certificates, and logos should display more crisply and consistently than before.
On top of that, all score sheets, logos, certificates, and related files are now hosted via a Content Delivery Network (CDN). In plain English, that means they'll load faster and more reliably for everyone, no matter where they are in the country.

Achievements Update
There has been an update to achievements detection. This resolved two issues. One where only record status scores were being accepted for some badges. The other where if two scores were shot on the same day the second one was not considered.
As a result of this change it is likely that checking for new achievements will return a list of previously undetected achievements.

New Features
Golden Records Online has been updated with some new features.
Where clubs are using the feature to Approve Scores before being added to the database, rejected scores are now logged with a reason for rejection and are kept on the system to allow the member to edit and resubmit it. Previously they were deleted. Rejected scores are visible only to the member.
Optionally clubs can now opt to email a member automatically when a score is rejected.
With the Approve Scores option enabled when a member edits a previously approved score it is put back into the approval queue.
